THQ telling Truth or Lies

Long before minigame collections ever hit the scene, "party games" were limited to things like charades and Truth or Dare. THQ today announced its own traditional-style party game, Truth or Lies for the Wii, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

The eight-player game will use a proprietary voice calibration system--which THQ claims is a gaming first--in order to measure the stress levels of players and determine whether or not they're telling the truth. The game works with either the Xbox 360 Wireless Microphone or any standard USB microphone.

The round-table-style question-and-answer gameplay will include more than 3,000 questions, as well as a Hot Seat mode, where players may pick on other players and ask them whatever question they wish. Sample questions adorning the game's box art include, "If you had only 24 hours to live, what would you do?" "Who do you have a crush on?" and "What secret have you never told your best friend?"
