THQ Tackles Web Wrestling

THQ has inked an agreement with Genetic Anomalies to develop and publish a collectible online strategy game based on the WWF. Although it won't be pile driving onto the Internet until the first half of 2000, when it does arrive, the game will let players command the moves and countermoves of their favorite WWF superstars online as they attempt to gain entry into the WWF online tournament.

Cambridge, Mass.-based Genetic Anomalies is best known for developing the online card-trading game Chron X for The Station@Sony.
