THQ adapting The Incredibles

Finding Nemo publisher acquires game rights to Pixar's next computer-animated film.

THQ revealed today that it will publish a game based on The Incredibles, the upcoming movie from Pixar, the creators of Finding Nemo. THQ also published the PC and console adaptations of the latter film, which were all developed by Traveller's Tales. No developer has been named for The Incredibles game.

THQ also wouldn't comment on which platforms The Incredibles game will be released for--although Nemo was released for all platforms and PCs. However, reps from the publisher did confirm it will be released concurrently with the film, which premieres November 5. GameSpot will have more details on the game as they become available.

The film The Incredibles profiles a family of once-famous superheroes forced into the Witness Protection Program after they are sued by the victims they have saved. After several sedentary years posing as a typically dysfunctional suburban family, they are called back to fight a supervillain unconcerned with litigious civilians. The Incredibles is also the second-to-last film being released by Disney under its partnership with Pixar, which the animation studio recently canceled.
