Seeing how all of falls biggest games where pushed into next year I will more than likely be getting this. There is some definite promise here, if you can look past the obvious departure from the canonical lore it looks like great fun and some really cool new systems (at least for next gen/pc) with the whole nemesis stuff.

I think this game looks great! I am a fan of the source material so call me bias,I don't care. Either way, I think it has a good bit of potential from what i've seen and read so far.

People keep calling it an assassin creed clone but honestly, other than  some animation and climbing,I do not see this apparent copy cat that everyone is so quick to throw around.? Maybe I am missing something that others are keen on.

I look forward to this and I hope the game either justifies it's high PC spec requirements by release or improves optimization.

They should really quit making these LOTR type games, it never gets a good review, the publishers and makers are just constantly milking it as if its a Mario or Pokemon game. Also the LOTR movies ended like 10 years ago or so, and its time to move on really.

Seriously, what is with this " This Fall's Lord of the Rings game "? It just seems really off to me that it keeps being referred to that.

@jasongm The books ended 60 years ago.

Besides, we still got the Hobbit movies.

@jasongm This isn't a LOTR game. This is a game set in the same universe that LOTR was set in. Just because the movies ended doesn't mean the universe ended. Creators can expand it and create new things from it. Stop trying to squash creativity by locking things up and saying they can't be used anymore.

@jasongm  There are people willing to buy it that are fans of the books and movies. what is so wrong about that exactly? Do you have any book series or movies or any kind of source material that you would love to be made into a game? if the answer is yes than your comment is moot.

@jasongm I have high hopes for this one and think it's going to be a great game if they pull off the things explained in the walkthrough video a couple months back. You don't have to buy it ya know. :)

@Foppe @jasongm I got nothing against the books or movies really, I'm just saying what they should do is make a game set in Middle Earth after the whole Hobbit and LOTR stories have passed (seriously we know the outcome from those stories, and why keep adding to it..) and set the game maybe 200/300 years later in the future and give us something new and fresh! I wouldn't mind something like that.
