The Wolf Among Us Episode 2 is finally arriving in February

Telltale Games says it does not expect the wait for subsequent chapters to be as long.

Telltale Games has announced that the long-awaited second chapter of its episodic series The Wolf Among Us will be released in the first week of February. Finally!

"We are very concerned about the long delay for this episode," said Telltale's Kevin Bruner on the company forums, "but this is one of those occasions where several things conspired against us (not to mention the additional delays due to the holidays). I won't dive into the details, but it’s been an unusual and specific set of circumstances and we do not anticipate it happening again as we go forward with the rest of the season."

The first episode of The Wolf Among Us, which is based on Bill Willingham's Fables comic book series, was released back in October 2013. The total season will be five chapters, with Telltale originally saying that the whole series will be released by the end of summer 2014.

Telltale added it is currently coordinating the release of The Wolf Among Us episode 2 with Sony, Microsoft, Valve, and Apple.

GameSpot's Kevin VanOrd awarded the first chapter of the series a score of 8.0 last year.

Episode 1 was amazing, can't wait for the rest. But a lot of the story is spoiled for me though, being a reader of the comics and all, I pretty much know what to expect lol

I was gonna get the season pass but not anymore. 6 months between episodes is ridiculous! Glad  I got the 1st episode free on new years day. I think Telltale has 2 much on their plate with this series, Walking Dead and now Game of Thrones. So this series is suffering because it's the least popular.

This is fucking bullshit. The delay happened because they wanted people to buy the walking dead season 2. I expected to be at episode 3 by now. If I would have known this would be the wait I wouldn't have bought the pass.

If I had known there would be a five month waiting period between episodes, I probably wouldn't have bought TWAU, or, at least, not the entire season.

The delay was bad but the lack of communication was way worse, I'm not going to be buying any season's anymore until they are all released because this whole thing was ridiculous on their part. It's not that hard to explain why something is being delayed, other companies do it all the time.

I'm concerned that the killer's trail may have gone cold while we were waiting for the second episode the come out :P

I've decided that I will no longer be buying these episodic games until all the episodes are out.

Can't wait any longer! I wish I hadn't heard about this until all episodes were out like The Walking Dead.

I got Ep. 1 for free a few weeks ago and I'm surprised that I actually liked it. Looking forward to Ep 2

I chose to wait for the full package again (like I did with The Walking Dead), my patience and my attention span just aren't capable of dealing with Telltale's (outdated IMO) episodic release model.

Finally, hopefully future episodes come a little quicker lol.

That first episode was a blast! I started getting into the comics after playing through the game. I hope The Walking Dead doesn't have take 5 months like that.

I wonder if these unforeseen issues that Telltale had to deal with were also somehow related to Bill Willingham calling it quits on the fables series

I'm actually a bit worried that they are taking on too many projects (maybe that also caused the delay?) TWD season 2, TWAU season 1, Game of Thrones and Tales from the Borderlands. That's quite a lot of games in one go.

Can't wait. This game was my first Telltale game and I really enjoyed it. I want to continue. I've wanted to play The Walking Dead game but my strong dislike for the way overhyped TV series has made me reluctant to try it out.

@LiaraTYeah it seems like people are just coming to them with "Hey let's team up and make a game together!" proposals, and they just keep accepting them all regardless of whether they can get the job done.

@LiaraTAs long as they finish the main stories for the games in advance and make sure that they're quality then I'm okay with them taking on additional projects. Since, so far, everything they've put out has been good I'll maintain faith in them and I'm sure that additional people have been brought on since they've got 4 episodic games going on now.

@AurikenIt has a lot more to do with the comic book (at least a similar tone and art style), than the tv series-- it really has nothing to do with the show.  If that's what's holding you back, rest assured that it's a different beast.  It probably has more in common with The Wolf Among Us game than The Walking Dead show.

@Auriken  Try TWD out, you won't regret it! It's nothing like the TV series and if you enjoy The Wolf Among Us you will love TWD as well.

@meza-ace @LiaraT  You'll mind if you enjoy their games & find out that quality is suffering during subsequent episodes & games.
