The Warriors hitting PSN next week

Rockstar Games' 2005 action game launching next week on PlayStation Network for $10.

The Warriors is on its way to PlayStation Network. Rockstar Games announced today that its 2005 action game will be available on PSN May 28 in North America. The game launches a day later in Europe.

It will be available for $9.99 / €9.99 / £7.99.

The Warriors is based on Walter Hill's 1979 film of the same name. In the game, players are cast as the leader of a gang struggling to regain control of the streets of New York in a dystopian future.

It joins a growing catalog of PlayStation 2-era Rockstar Games titles coming to PSN, following Manhunt, Bully, Red Dead Revolver, and multiplayer Grand Theft Auto and Midnight Club games.

If you have not played this game before, I strongly recommend it. This is my favorite fighting/brawler game of all time. Great movie-to-game adaptation with some satisfying skull cracking chaos.

This is probably one of the most overlooked games Rockstar has ever done.  It might even be my favorite from Rockstar if I'm being honest.

Yes, this game is so underrated, it's one of the best co-op games I've ever played. I got into the movie because of this game.

It's times like these when I wish I had a PS3 instead of a 360. Never got the chance to pick up this game for PS2.

This game took a cult movie from over 20 years before, stayed very true to it, and added all kinds of interesting and believable backstory.  It made me like the movie more.  I can't think of any other game that has achieved his.

Most movie-based games tend to suck. This didn't suck. I saw the movie after I played this game. I loved it.

One of the best movie games ever made. Play it as an "extended version" of the film.

@CFritzRun Its sad. Its way better than GTA IMO, but the dumb kids these days don't know what the Warriors is and never seen the movie. I'm only 21 and I'm smart enough to watch movies from the 70s and 80s because they were the shit back then.

@CFritzRun The Warriors remains one of my all-time favorites. I still have it for  Xbox to this day, even though I can't F***ing play it (not BC with 360). Please Rockstar, release this on XBLA! I would trade all other original games for this!

@vindictivecow It's better on PS2 than PSP from what I've heard... The PS2 version handles the large-scale fight sequences better...But yeah, it's a great game, especially with a friend.
