The Walking Dead coming to Ouya

Telltale Games bringing first season and 400 Days DLC to Android-powered platform this winter; Season Two also coming to system.

The Walking Dead is shambling to the Ouya, developer Telltale Games announced today.

The game's first season, as well as the 400 Days downloadable content, will be available on the Android-powered console this winter. Episode One will be free to try.

The Walking Dead: Season Two is also coming to Ouya, Telltale Games said, though no release date has been announced for that new content.

The game will be "the same" on Ouya as it is on other platforms, Telltale Games SVP of Publishing Steve Allison said in a statement.

The Walking Dead: Season One is currently available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, iOS, and PlayStation Vita.

this is why i love the concept of ouya, it's giving developers incentive to port good games from itunes to android.

Ouya is the biggest scam, they are charging you for emulated games you can get for free.

it's only a point'n'klick thingy but have they made sure the ouya is powerful enough to process the game without having do downspec stuff? ;)

Edward, it IS on iOS and Ouya runs Android. Don't comment if you don't have any information.

It's coming to Ouya because it's inevitably coming to Android. No one should be surprised by this. No one should think it will stay Ouya exclusive.

With friends connectivity and a better controller, I like the system. Too bad this wasn't a release title, that would have moved some consoles.  Still hoping Ouya makes it.

Why? Is there anyone on Earth who wants to play this game but only has an Ouya at their disposal? Everyone who wanted to play this already has on a plethora of other possible platforms. There is no need for the Ouya to exist when you can get that exact same experience on your phone or tablet. I'm sure this version of the Walking Dead will be the buggiest yet.

umm well what about an actual android version for hardware that we actually use rather than a console that hardly sells any games??

why are people talking about the wii-u when this is coming to ouya only and not other android based platforms? that's infuriating

every time I read Ouya I think of the Duffman from the Simpsons saying OH YEAH!!!!

That might actually sell a few units of the Ouya, since the game has been so widely praised. It's also not very tech heavy, but focusing on other non-expensive ways to move players - something other games ought to learn from. I haven't otherwise heard of many games on the Ouya, let alone anything that by itself could sell a lot of units. It seems like it's basically a cheap console for old or simple games.

@Galiard Ouya is a platform to buy games.. emulating games for free is a scam.

Stop scamming bro.

@Hurvl No, it is a console where anyone who can program can make a game.
