The Sims: Vacation takes March

The latest expansion pack for Electronic Arts' virtual-life game The Sims outsold all other PC games last month.

Electronic Arts' virtual-life game expansion The Sims: Vacation took the top spots on NPD Techworld's latest weekly and monthly lists of best-selling games. For the month of March, the expansion was followed by The Sims itself in second place and EA's World War II shooter Medal of Honor: Allied Assault in third place. Fourth place went to Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, LucasArts' Star Wars action game, while fifth place was taken by The Sims: Hot Date, another virtual-life game expansion from EA.

For the week of April 7-13, 2002, Vacation was trailed by Dungeon Siege, Microsoft's latest action role-playing game, in second place, while Jedi Knight II came in third place. The Sims and The Sims: Hot Date came in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
