It all boils down to money, we need more innovation in FPS but companies are scared of flopping. Some in the game industry needs to really sit down and right out a business plan. IMO its the $60 price tag that drives consumers away from trying different experiences.

@davedrastic You have to put up that thread. Don't you? That's not smart at all. Since that thread is locked, I'll simply say this: If there's anymore goofy ideas you want to talk about that is appropriate, expect disastrous results later on. Don't think being serious is the way to go, not while a lot of people want to come to this site for a good time.

That feel when fighter games are the most repetitive and least evolved games in the history of gaming.

So my comments are just deleted are they? Did they break a rule? If so, which one?

FIIIIILIIIPIIINOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!1 *ahem* Sorry about that, I'm just feeling the hype. I can't believe there was a Mexican M.O.D.O.K. in the Marvel Top 8. Did you guys watch the Day 2 Marvel pools/Top 32? When Yipes and Justin hugged, a single, manly tear rolled down my cheek... :'(

The "FPS Games Getting Stale" line was floating around at the end of the WWII shooter genre. We just need to wait for someone to decide what to era/location to set games in now. I'd like to see the resurgence of the space shooter.

What FPS games NEED is a more consistent exploration factor in their gameplay.  The problems are things like cut scenes after every few minutes that takes away all control, and only being able to shoot a machine gun while on an escape jeep.  These game designs are completely jarring.  If more FPS's took the Half-Life approach, they would be stepping in the right direction.  Allow the gamer to explore the vastness of a game instead of just stringing them along by only going forward with nothing else to do but kill enemies.  Add platforming elements, deeper RPG elements, and never put in cut scenes; or if you do, they better be extremely limited.

Nice to be reminded that women objectify men just as much as men objectify women. Here's hoping Michael Fassbender and his studio make the first good game-to-movie adaptation.

DICE - FPS games need to innovate in graphics and engine technology! AND come to think of it, we have this here engine that you all can license for a very reasonable price. You're doing the FPS a favour guys, seriously.

Want innovation in games? How about an FPS with nothing but vector graphics?

Is Michael Fassbender a good choice for the upcoming Assassin Creed film? The question should be: is making another video game film a good choice.

 @Taasi23 I'm just very disappointed MarlinPie didn't make top 8.

 @vivalatour

So, no Half-Life, or System Shock?  Whaddabout Doom? You realize, without the programming advances to make Doom, many of the greatest 3D games would have come out years later due to the lack of advances in BSP tech that the first FPS presented.
