The Order: 1886 developer Ready At Dawn has announced the release date of its next game, Deformers. The food-based arena combat game will launch February 14, 2017 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The multiplayer party game was first revealed in June, before a new trailer showing off some of the game's combat dropped in September. Little else is known about the game, save for its frantic action and the ability to use powerups to get the jump on your friends (enemies), and the fact that you can play splitscreen locally (but using the game's dedicated online servers).

Deformers will arrive almost exactly two years after Ready At Dawn's last game, The Order: 1886. Just recently, the developer insisted that The Order: 1886's IP "has a future." The company's chief executive had previously stated that "The Order was never written as a one-off story."

We weren't the biggest fans of the Victorian shooter here at GameSpot, with critic Kevin VanOrd awarding it a 5/10. He called it "the face of mediocrity and missed opportunities." For more, check out our full The Order: 1886 review.

[Editor's Note: this article was updated. It previously stated "you can play in offline or online multiplayer matches," but we were contacted by a representative for the studio to clarify that all matches happen online."]
