Namco announced today that The Nightmare of Druaga: Fushigino Dungeon has shipped to stores nationwide. Based on the classic 1984 arcade game The Tower of Druaga, Nightmare of Druaga is a hack-and-slash action game for the PlayStation 2 that harks back to those simpler times.

The story picks up three years after the original left off: Gilgamesh ("Gil," to pals) has rescued Lady Ki from the dreaded tower, and they are to be married. But the night before the ceremony, an army of monsters invades the kingdom and kidnaps her highness once again. So Gil hops back into the dungeons of Druaga to save her.

The Nightmare of Druaga: Fushigino Dungeon is rated "E" for Everyone and carries an SRP of $39.99. For more information, check out GameSpot's review.
