Publisher Xseed Games has announced a concrete release date for the North American release of The Last Story.

The Wii-exclusive RPG developed by Mistwalker will be out on August 14. Gamers who preorder the title through GameStop, EB Games Canada, or Amazon will get a music CD featuring seven tracks by composer Nobuo Uematsu. Early buyers will also get a 44-page soft-cover art book featuring the game's concept art and sketches, as well as a special-edition box.

The Last Story was released in Japan on January 27 last year, as well as in Australia and Europe on February 23 and 24 of this year respectively. The game was well received by critics for its narrative, visuals, and battle system.
