The Last of Us Remastered Is 50% Off Right Now

As part of its Outbreak Day sale, Naughty Dog has discounted the remastered version of its its acclaimed post-apocalyptic game The Last of Us by 50 percent for the week. You can grab the PlayStation 4 title for only $10 right now.

In addition, Remastered's Tactical Weapons Bundle for multiplayer is marked down to $1.50 (from $3), while the Outbreak Day PS4 dynamic theme that normally goes for $3 is now completely free.

The Outbreak Day sale runs for a week, ending on October 4 at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET.

Outbreak Day is on September 26, according to The Last of Us' fiction. It's the day that the deadly Cordyceps virus "reached critical mass," spelling big trouble for humanity. Naughty Dog also celebrated the occasion by putting up for sale a stunning poster inspired by the game. Additionally, The Last of Us items from the PlayStation Gear store are discounted in celebration of Outbreak Day.

The Last of Us was originally released in June 2013 for PlayStation 3 to critical acclaim. The remastered version was released for PS4 in July 2014.

A sequel could be in development, but nothing has been confirmed. The Last of Us is also being made into a movie, but it has not progressed in years.
