The King of Fighters XIII available for PC this September
2D fighting game to be distributed on Steam; SNK Playmore looking for closed beta testers.
The 2D fighting title The King of Fighters XIII will be available on the PC via Steam on September 13.
This version of the game will have "vastly improved netcode" for online play, and will include the extra DLC characters (EX Iori, NESTS Style Kyo, and Mr. Karate) for free. Users can also unlock new Steam achievements for the game.
SNK Playmore is looking for 300 participants for the closed beta test session for the game. Players can apply right now; the cut-off period for application is on August 18. The closed beta itself will happen from August 20 to August 29. Selected players will be notified via e-mail starting on August 19.
KOF XIII was released on the Xbox 360 and PS3. The game was praised for its visuals, fighting mechanics, and offline modes.
