SNK Playmore confirms details on its upcoming King of Fighters dual pack for the Xbox.

Currently scheduled for release in August, the Xbox version of The King of Fighters 2002 & 2003 is an enhanced version of the game of the same name that was released for the PlayStation 2 in February. The main difference between the two versions, predictably, is that the Xbox game will boast online play via Xbox Live.

The King of Fighters 2002 boasts a roster of no fewer than 44 characters from King of Fighters games dated '96 through 2001. The King of Fighters 2003, on the other hand, features 35 fighters, plus a number of hidden boss characters. The main difference between the two games, in gameplay terms, is that the 2003 edition introduced the "multishift" system, which allows for the free substitution of teammates during battles.

We'll bring you more information on The King of Fighters 2002 & 2003 as soon as it becomes available.
