The King of Fighters 14 Announced for PS4
Next edition of SNK Playmore’s cult fighting series will render in full 3D.
King of Fighters XIV, the latest edition of the long-running cult fighting game, has been announced for PS4 at Sony’s Tokyo Game Show press conference.
A brief reveal trailer showed that SNK Playmore, the game’s Osaka based developer, has chosen to build the new game in 3D, a choice the studio has briefly attempted before.
"This brand new KOF numbered series title features high-quality 3D visuals, however staying true to the gameplay roots of the series," SNK Playmore said.
King of Fighters XIV will ship on PlayStation 4, but it is not yet clear if the game is an exclusive.
The game is scheduled to ship across Japan in January. No further details were announced.
