The Injustice 2 Closed Beta Ends Next Week

The ongoing closed beta for fighting game Injustice 2 will end on February 21, developer NetherRealm announced today.

"Thanks to all of our players who took part in the Injustice 2 online beta," reads a line from a Warner Bros. statement announcing the end of the beta. "We received a great deal of data that will help make the launch of our online modes the best they can be. Now it is time to get busy implementing the changes. That means unfortunately we will be turning off the beta on Tuesday February 21st . Get your games in this weekend!"

Looking ahead, the next Injustice 2 playable character will be announced on February 23. The latest character to be confirmed for Injustice 2 was Swamp Thing. Other confirmed playable characters for Injustice 2 so far include Batman, Blue Beetle, The Flash, Harley Quinn, Superman, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Deadshot, Gorilla Grodd, Aquaman, Robin, Cheetah, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Black Canary, and Atrocitus.

NetherRealm's Ed Boon has said the game will feature obscure characters.

Earlier this week, NetherRealm showed off female fighters Cheetah, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, and Black Canary in a new gameplay trailer. Another video focused exclusively on Black Canary and her devastating moves.

Injustice 2 launches for PS4 and Xbox One on May 16. In other news, an Injustice 2 mobile game has been announced.
