The Flash And Green Arrow Swap Costumes In Crazy "Elseworlds" Crossover Poster

The "Elseworlds" crossover continues to get more bizarre by the day.

With nearly two months to go before the "Elseworlds" crossover event bridges Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl, new information about what's to come is arriving at a lightning quick pace. Hot on the heels of Superman's (Tyler Hoechlin) black suit being revealed, The CW has released the first poster for the December crossover event.

In it, The Flash (Grant Gustin) and Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) are switching things up. The poster for "Elseworlds" finds Amell in a Flash suit, with Gustin wearing the Green Arrow's hood and leathers. Clearly, wherever this storyline is set in the multiverse, something strange is going on.

Now Playing: Batwoman Star Ruby Rose Revealed In Costume In First Image - GameSpot Universe News update

Interestingly, Amell tweeted out the poster himself, writing, "My name is Barry Allen and I am the fastest man alive." Based on that alone, one could speculate that Gustin will be playing Oliver Queen in the episode, with Amell taking on Barry's persona. Then again, none of that is actually confirmed.

So what do we know? It's been previously revealed that whatever the team of Green Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl are up against, it'll take them to Gotham City. That's where they'll meet Batwoman (Ruby Rose). While there, it sounds like they'll also come into contact with Nora Fries (Cassandra Amell), wife of Batman villain Mr. Freeze, as well as a scientist at Arkham Asylum.

Additionally, Superman will be joined by Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) in the event, marking that character's first appearance in the DC universe. It was also announced that the comic book character the Monitor would appear in "Elseworlds," played by Sons of Anarchy alum LaMonica Garrett.

With so many massive things happening, this is shaping up to be the most insane Arrow-verse crossover yet. However, you're going to have to wait to watch it unfold. "Elseworlds" kicks off on December 9 on The CW.
