The Final Word on Babylon 5

GameSpot News finds out the reason for Babylon 5's demise.

After posting our story regarding Sierra On-line's cancellation of Babylon 5, we've received numerous e-mails regarding the game's demise or possible future avenues of development. So we contacted the company to find out what happened.

As of right now, the team has been disbanded. Sierra took a long look at the title, what it had invested into the game itself, and determined that it wouldn't make enough return on the investment Sierra had allotted when the title released. The title still had at least a year left in its development cycle.

Future possibilities? Sierra still holds the license for Warner Brothers' Babylon 5. Prospective developers interested in Babylon 5 would have to contact WB for license negotiations and Sierra if they wanted to make do of the team's work.
