The Amazing Spider-Man coming to PS Vita
Sony confirms 2012 action game launching for PlayStation Vita on November 19 for $40; developed by Mercenary Technology.
Beenox's 2012 action game The Amazing Spider-Man will be released for PlayStation Vita on November 19 for $40, Sony announced today on the PlayStation Blog. The game's PS Vita port was originally revealed through an ESRB listing.
Mercenary Technology is handling the port
According to executive producer Bill Chinn, The Amazing Spider-Man for PS Vita will maintain the "same spirit" of the console version, while "adding new energy" from the system's various features.
The game's Web Rush system--through which players can slow down time and determine how to move through the city of Manhattan--can be accessed through the PS Vita's touch screen. In addition, players will be able to pinch and zoom on the game's map to set waypoints and track locations.
Lastly, The Amazing Spider-Man on PS Vita makes use of the system's gyroscopic functionality to allow players to snap photos by aiming the device like they would an actual camera.
