TOKYO - Atlus' 3D corridor action title draws crowds with its top-notch visuals and pumping techno soundtrack.

TOKYO - You knew the second you were in the vicinity of Atlus' Maken X display at the Tokyo Game Show. With the booming techno soundtrack coming from the speakers attached to the booth walls it was impossible to miss. But these tunes were hardly grating or annoying – in fact, they were downright amazing. And that's what drew many gamers in to check out Maken X, this editor included.

While not much has changed since we last took a look at the game at E3, it was still great fun to give the title some more play. There's something to be said of Maken X's great atmosphere – it's like no other 3D corridor game out there. You've got this great underlying story (you're a sword that possesses people), and some pretty kick ass characters to battle. I just couldn't get enough.

Maken X is slated for release on November 25 in Japan at a price of 6800 yen (US$64). The game is definitely atop my list of most anticipated Dreamcast titles for this year.
