Microsoft is ending the week with new content offerings for a recently released revamp of a classic puzzler and a highly anticipated spiritual sequel to a similarly beloved shooter. Xbox Live director of programming Larry Hryb today announced on his Major Nelson blog the arrival of new Xbox Live Marketplace offerings for each Xbox 360 game.

New content for THQ's Tetris Evolution includes three background sets for 100 Microsoft points ($1.25) each and four new skins for 80 Microsoft points ($1). The background sets include video and pictures that can be displayed under the main Tetris playfield in the game, while the skins offer a visual overhaul for the playfield foreground.

For the Irrational Games shooter BioShock, the Xbox Live Marketplace is now offering a pair of picture packs and a theme. One picture pack contains images of the game's characters, while the other centers upon the game's environment and character designs. The theme is available for 150 Microsoft points ($1.87), while the picture packs are each 80 Microsoft points ($1).
