Tennis Takes Top Spot

Mario Tennis takes over the number one spot in total video game software sales.

Apparently, the Nintendo 64 still has some momentum in the video game market. Since the early success of Perfect Dark, there haven't been any prominent N64 games on the top ten sales list - until now. Mario Tennis secured the number one spot in total sales for the week of August 27 through September 2. EA Sports' Madden NFL 2001 for the PlayStation maintained its second position, and Ultimate Fighting Championship for the Dreamcast rounded out the top three.

Cool. Year 2000 sale charts! I didn't know UFC for the Dreamcast sold so well. Chrono Cross was 6th. Vagrant Story wasn't even on the list for PS games, even though it came out a month or so away from Chrono Cross. And Valkyrie Profile as well.
