With nary a peep out of the official Tekken movie project, fans eager to see the King of the Iron Fist crowned in cinematic fashion may be interested in the latest project from Atlanta-based Shadow Motion Pictures. Still wrapping up production on another fan flick, Devil May Cry: Sins Remembered, Shadow Motion Pictures CEO R.L. Scott has announced on his MySpace page that the company is now working on Tekken: King of Iron Fist. The short film is set to wrap in February, and the first promo pics can be seen at the film site Twitch.
Tekken fan flick under way
With the official movie in limbo, Shadow Motion Pictures says it will bring the martial arts gaming series to life as a short film.

That will blow more than.......
Why is a white guy playing Jin who is Japanese??!?! This movie = FAIL!
flick
Hope this is gonna be good. All the other games turned movie pretty much sucked.
So far Jin looks good, quite close to the actual character, but Brian's hair doesn't look anything like that, he's got much shorter hair cut.
Why are these "fan flick" stories even considered "news?" Blah
More and likely going to suck...
Wow, a bunch of probably sweaty, probably fat people who don't know how to make a movie...making a movie! Can't be worse than Star Wars Kid, or Uwe Boll.
crap!
im not going to watch that movie
Stupid.
I hope these guys don't get sued for copyright/trademark infringements. Hopefully the owners of the rights to these properties will see them for what they are: a tribute to the games that inspired them. In turn, these could be used to sell more copies of the games. Of course, they should probably have disclaimers stating that they are not made or endorsed by Capcom, namco, Sony, etc.
I really, really hope that these actors get into a more serious workout schedule, because they just look like normallly built people compared to Tekken fighters. Why do they think 'only the best' can enter? Looking pissed and genuinely being a bad mfer are two very different things, and these guys just look really pissed.
omg! actor for Bryan Fury sucks ass! bryan fury is 3 - 4 times more juiced up than that homo
wtf, the film site makes me want to vomit
If Uwe Boll ain't doing his part in destroying the chances of Video Games being respected in the film genre, then I ain't watching it...
cool.something to look forward to.
I hope it's as good as Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat.
Uwe Boll :'(
I am not intereseted in any of thiose films but i am glad the Uwe Boll isn't directing them
Guess someone's nephew/son from gamespot's staff is on this. I hate when media goes this low to promote one of their own.
I don't know what to think about the Tekken fanfilm, but Devil May Cry: Sins Remembered looks like it will be better than even the big budget movies from "professional" studios. I will anxiously be waiting.
thats gonna be awesome
i hope this Tekken movie is just as awsome as that "Dead or Alive" movie cough*sarcasm*cough :D
The DMC one looks quite good, but the Tekken actors are too skinny. Where's the unrealistically broad chests and bulging biceps? XD I don't expect too much, as long as it's somewhat entertaining I'd be satisfied.
This movie may be o.k since my expectations are VERY low
Like all game to live-action films, I feel a bit skeptical. The actors look slightly suspect(i.e. small/dorky/wimpy). However, if the movie has solid story, acting and action, I'd buy into it.
awesome cant wait for this
The dudes for Devil May Cry look kinda...lame. Oh well, Viva la Indie Film!
Those guys are too skinny...
Tekken is the best fighting game ever created.
short film, and an actual Tekken film...cool. Isn't there already a cartoon film out. So, will the short film be released with the game?
Looks like it'll be kinda .. dorky.
At least Uwe Boll's not making it, right?
This one doesn't look like it's for me.
This should have been a computer-animated film. Live action is going to suck sooo bad.
they look kinda gay
They're making a DMC film too???
OOooooh.... I can't wait to see it.
