An 18-year-old Georgia woman has been sentenced to 40 years in prison after admitting she shot and killed a man in a PlayStation 4 robbery.

Local news site WSBTV (via Kotaku) reports that Kayla Dixon took a plea deal on Tuesday, the day that her trial was set to start.

According to prosecutors, Dixon and her boyfriend responded to a 2014 Craigslist ad for a PS4 and met up with the seller, Danny Zeitz, with the intention of robbing him. Zeitz resisted, prosecutors said, and Dixon shot the man, killing him.

"I would trade anything, almost anything, to bring Daniel back. But I know I can't," Dixon said in a prepared statement through tears, according to WSBTV. "I know he had plans. I wish I could tell him I'm so, so sorry that this happened, but I can't."

According to the report, Zeitz was a semi-professional gamer. After his murder, a film crew raised money to make a documentary about the aftermath of his death.

Dixon's boyfriend at the time, Nathaniel Vivien, awaits his own trial later this summer, though it is not immediately clear what charges he faces. Watch the video above and go to WSBTV to learn more about the case.
