He's arguably the best-known college football player of the last decade, so it's no surprise that EA Sports may be set to strike while Tim Tebow's iron is hot. According to a report from the Jacksonville Business Journal (and first spotted on sports gaming blog Pasta Padre), the former Florida quarterback may be close to signing a deal to make him a cover athlete for EA Sports' upcoming NCAA Football 11. In the past few years, EA Sports has put multiple athletes on different versions of that year's game, but considering the overwhelming name recognition and marketing muscle behind Tebow, it wouldn't surprise me if the publisher went back to the old single-athlete tradition and put Tebow on all versions of the game.

Tebow isn't currently expected to light up the NFL Draft (analysts currently peg him going somewhere in the third round or beyond), and how his career pans out in the NFL, of course, remains to be seen. Could he be on the cover of NCAA 11? We'll know in a few months when EA unveils the game.

Who would you put on the cover of NCAA Football 11?
