Tales of Berseria's PC Version System Requirements, Graphic Settings Detailed

Bandai Namco today shared new details regarding the upcoming PC version of Tales of Berseria, including its system requirements and DRM.

As you'd expect for a game that's also available on PS3 in Japan, you won't need a monster PC in order to play it. Berseria calls for only a Core 2 Duo E8400 or Phenom II X2 550, 2 GB of RAM, and a GeForce 9800 GTX or Radeon HD 4850. The recommended specs aren't significantly more demanding, as the GPU requirement only bumps up to a GTX 560 or HD 7870. The full specs follow at the bottom of this post.

Berseria's PC version offers support for resolutions ranging from 800x600 all the way up to 4K. However, Bandai Namco notes the game will only upscale to 4K and doesn't feature native 4K graphics. Berseria also features 30 FPS and 60 FPS options, multiple levels of SMAA and FXAA, and other visual options. You're also free to fully remap the controls. As for DRM, Bandai Namco confirmed Berseria uses Denuvo and explained why it was necessary.

"We love the community: It is you guys that ensure that we continually bring more Tales games out, and to a high caliber," reads a blog post. "It wouldn't be fair to you if we didn't put any systems in place to prevent people who try to acquire the game through illegitimate means as it eventually will slow us down bringing games onto PC. Denuvo has been proven to be a reliable way to fight piracy. So far, no conclusive evidence is proven to disrupt the player experience."

A demo of Berseria launches for both PS4 and PC on January 10. It then launches for PS4 on January 24 in North America and January 27 in Europe, with a worldwide release of the PC version also coming on January 27.
