Earthworm Jim's third game, Earthworm Jim 3D, will be published in North and South America by Take-Two Interactive. Take-Two announced today that it has acquired the rights from Interplay and Shiny for the title and will be available in mid-1999 for both the Nintendo 64 and PlayStation. Interplay will handle publishing and distribution outside of the American market.

David Perry, president of Shiny Entertainment, said, "Earthworm Jim has been an enduring favorite for years, and now technology lets us expand his wacky world even further. Earthworm Jim 3D will introduce the unique, hilarious antics of Jim to a new generation of gamers, who can take him snowboarding on a pig or zooming around on his pocket rocket."
