Sega of Europe announced the latest addition to the European Dreamcast on Tuesday, Take The Bullet (TTB). Developed by Red Lemon Studios (a 1.5 party developer for Sega), TTB is the latest game to make use of the Dreamcast light gun.

Set in America during the late sixties, Take The Bullet lets you play the role of Jack Travis, a bodyguard hired to protect presidential candidate Kincaide during his election campaign. You must also coordinate your efforts with the rest of your bodyguard team to successfully ensure Kincaide's safety - which happens to be in great jeopardy due to a gang of thugs called Children of Gabrielle, which is out to put and end to him.

Like other light-gun shooters such as House of the Dead 2 on the Dreamcast, Take The Bullet displays all the action in a first-person perspective. However, the game also gives players the option to view all the action in a third-person mode, where the character is seen in front of the action.

Take the Bullet features 12 levels for players to blast their way through, with an arsenal of 18 high-powered weapons. The game will also offer multiplayer modes, including four-player action at home and through the use of the modem, and sixteen-player death match online.

Red Lemon Studios' Take The Bullet is scheduled for a Christmas 1999 release in Europe. According to a spokesperson for Sega of America, the game hasn't yet been planned for a US release.
