Bandai Namco and developer From Software have unveiled the first two of the six community-created shields that will be included in Dark Souls II.
From Software originally announced the competition in April last year. The two shields, the "Wicked Eye Greatshield" and "Rebel's Greatshield", are now being shown off on the game's official Facebook page.
The six winning creators--Denis "DasHurz" Bachmaier, Charles Collier, Illim, Gabriel Verdon, and Alexandre Etiennes Jonathan Du Cassé--will all receive their name in the credits, a copy of the Dark Souls II Collector's Edition, and a real-life shield based off their winning designs.
The company will unveil the second and third pairs of shields on January 28 and January 31.
Dark Souls II will be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on March 11. A PC version will follow afterwards.
But will we see versions for Xbox One and PlayStation 4? From Software says it has "not put any thought" into that just yet.
