SWG it was one of the best MMO ever because everything were player based i mean the palyers made higher stats armors not the game and the crafters antagonize each other to be the best armor weapon food etc crafter in the server. Other mmos its just everybody crafts the same and that is . In SWG it was vary rare to see same looking players even the armors u could change color anytime u liked and a million types of clothing not to mention player housing an enormous amount of invettory what was it like 160 items on u and 300 items in each house :P.I just saying that in swg u could try and be the best even if u werent a pvper and this was unique noone was the same, who new what template of proffesions did u combine to get that extra sth or what kind oequip u had i mean ye it looked the same but the stats of armor and weapon were a secret ehhe.In all mmos i played Swg made an impact on me and in a pretty much big amount of players around the world thats why they miss it so much
The only way to fix this game is to bring back either CU or more preferably Pre-CU. If this happened, thousands all over the world would cry out in joy.
This was my favorite MMORPG because it was diferent of all MMORPG on the market. but since they have start to cange the game to like every mmoprg its just another game ... i leave the game because if this. If SWG go back the way we was on the beguining i would come back and some other friend's too
::AUCTION:: Sony Online Entertainments game rights for star wars galaxies starting at $5 can we get $6 *2 hours later* sold to the only man in the room for half a dollar!
SWG was not a bad game when it first came out. but now it total Crap. i hated the Combat update to the game.that what killed it for me. but then i left that game and moved onto WOW.
I'm in the same boat with the folks that once enjoyed the game. SWG was my first MMO experience, and I played the utter crap out of it for the better part of a year. Like most games, I ended up losing interest, but when I came back to see what was happening, after the NGE, I thought it just felt like a different game. It'd be nice if they'd just scrap it and come out with a SWG 2, just start from the beginning. Everquest did, and it seems to work out fairly well.
I wonder why everyone blames SOE, when Lucas Arts is just as much to blame, seeing how they own the SWG license, and SOE is basically putting it together they want it to be. But of course this is the current age of Sony hating. Cause you know Sony cant do anything right, well atleast in the few eyes of their haters.
Y'know, people have been saying this game sucks because of SOE's incompetence ever since it came out, but apparently, they keep paying for it...
SWG was the BEST mmo that ever existed pre cu, it was even still ok post cu but with the NGE its over.. i dunno why they did it, i have been wondering that for 6 months but i still havn't figured it out. hell, the cu came over a year ago.. Its almost like they want to be the laughing stock of the mmo community.
For me there has yet to be a true MMORPG that is worth staying with. They all have the obvious problems, but each has it's own nice things. 1. SWG had the awesome ammount of professions and player housing you could put everywhere basically. really the only game to feel like an alternate world 2. World of Warcraft has an easy to understand quest system and a big fanbase. 3. FFXI has a great class system so you could theoretically keep the same character throughout the entire game. 4. Dark age of Camelot is probably the best example of doing multiple things, but still not getting it perfect. Especially since the game is so old now. One of these days a game will implement all of these features and fix the problems.
And of course....it will be iconic, star wars-y, and bug free. Because as we all know SOE is #1 in customer satisfaction and MMO management. Seriously, I'm sure the 300-400 people left on my old server will almost enjoy this new content.....only 7 months after SOE promised new content, lots of new players, and a better SWG experience than ever before! -cough- Take your broken game, SOE, and shove it to the dark side.
