Surprise: Millionaire on Top
The latest weekly sales figures are in, and you'll never guess who came out on top.
PC Data released its sales figures for the week ending January 15, and to nobody's surprise, Disney Interactive's Who Wants to be a Millionaire is in first - again. The game's hold on first as the best selling PC game has been steadfast nearly every week since its release last November. Second this week was claimed by Hasbro's Roller Coaster Tycoon, 1999's best selling PC game.
The rest of the top ten list remained largely unchanged, with the only significant leap in sales coming from Activision's Quake III, which landed in fourth. The sales figures for all ten are:
Rank / Title / Publisher / Price1 / Who Wants To Be A Millionaire / Disney / $192 / MP Roller Coaster Tycoon / Hasbro Interactive / $283 / Microsoft Age of Empires II: Age Of Kings / Microsoft / $434 / Quake III Arena / Activision / $505 / MP Roller Coaster Tycoon Corkscrew Follies / Hasbro Interactive / $196 / Starcraft / Havas Interactive / $247 / Cabela's Big Game Hunter 3 / Activision / $208 / Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear / Red Storm Ent. / $399 / Deer Hunter III / GT Interactive / $1910 / Unreal Tournament / GT Interactive / $46
