Activision has announced that it has shipped Supercar Street Challenge for the Sony PlayStation 2. The game features exotic high-performance vehicles such as the Pagani Zonda C12 and Callaway C12 and equally exotic street tracks based in locations such as Paris, Monaco, and Rome. The racing in the game has a decidedly arcade-style flair, and the tracks are littered with a variety of shortcuts. Additionally, Supercar Street Challenge includes a design studio where players can custom-create their own high-speed racer.

"Supercar Street Challenge sets a new standard for arcade-style racing games with the innovative Steve Saleen Styling Studio that, for the first time ever, allows players to design and race their own dream machines,'' stated Larry Goldberg, executive vice president of Activision Studios. "Featuring the fastest supercars from the world's top car design houses, as well as an incredible level of detail within the tracks, Supercar Street Challenge makes a great stocking stuffer for race fans and gamers alike.''

Supercar Street Challenge is also available for the PC platform. The PS2 game carries a suggested retail price of $49.99.
