Today during a special video presentation, Nintendo revealed not one, but three new characters for this fall's 3DS and Wii U mascot fighting game, Super Smash Bros. Captain Falcon is returning, while newcomers from the Fire Emblem series--Robin and Lucina--will make their franchise debut in this year's game. Male and female versions of Robin will be featured in the game.

Robin and Lucina join other Fire Emblem characters Marth and Ike, bringing Fire Emblem's total roster count for this year's Super Smash Bros. game to four. The video also shows Chrom, but sadly for fans, he is not playable. The current roster for the new Super Smash Bros. game for Wii U and 3DS is listed below, with characters new to the series in bold.
