Earlier this month, Microsoft gave prewarning on a number of Xbox Live titles that would be landing on its service in the immediate future. One of those titles was the reprised version of Capcom's classic arcade battler Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. While Microsoft was understandably silent about the PlayStation Network version of Capcom's puzzler, it now appears the two will be released in tandem next week.

Capcom has confirmed to GameSpot today that Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will appear on XBL Marketplace next Wednesday and PSN next Thursday, as part of each service's weekly update. Both versions of the game will cost $10 in their respective currencies. No details were available on the PC version of the game.

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix remasters the arcade original's gem-busting gameplay with updated character models, backgrounds, and icons that take advantage of the next-gen consoles' 1080p output capabilities. Players can shadowbox against themselves in single-player mode or drop gems online in ranked and friendly matches. The game also features worldwide rankings and leaderboards.

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is rated E for Everyone. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
