Mario meets a double bass pedal.

YouTube drummer Andrew Fleming today posted his video game drum cover video, this one taking on one of the most popular and recognizable songs in gaming history.

Watch Fleming's cover of the iconic Super Mario Bros. theme song in the video below. This is one of Fleming's more impressive videos, as the nature of the song leaves ample room for fills--and he certainly delivers. There's also good use of the double bass pedal, particularly at the end. Take a look:

This is just Fleming's latest video game music drum cover. Before this, he busted out a killer take on the Destiny song "Fallen S.A.B.E.R." from The Taken King's original soundtrack.

Fleming previously covered the "Sepiks Prime" song from Destiny's soundtrack--watch that video here. Some of his other video game music drum covers have included Sonic's "Green Hill Zone," the opening music from Pokemon Red/Blue, and the "Battle Theme" from Final Fantasy 10.

You can visit Fleming's YouTube page to see more of his drum covers.

In recent news about the Mario franchise, Nintendo is finally bringing the series to smartphones in the form of the auto-runner game Super Mario Run. It launches in December for iOS, with a release for Android devices to come later.
