Suikoden III confirmed for the US

Konami of America has confirmed with GameSpot that Suikoden III will be released for the North American PlayStation 2. According to a company representative, the game will arrive in the US sometime in 2002. Suikoden III takes place approximately 15 years after the conclusion of the first game and stars three lead characters. All three characters begin their journeys in different parts of the world, but as the game progresses, their lives and stories will become intertwined. Actions taken by one of the characters in the game will have specific effects on the other two.

Suikoden III will be in full 3D, which is a first for the series. Its Japanese release date is currently set for December of this year.
