Strategy First has officially announced Strike Fighters: Project 1, its upcoming flight combat simulation. The game, which was previously known as Rolling Thunder, will let players assume control of an F-4 Phantom II in a series of fictional missions set in the 1960s--an era when the weapons available challenged the skills of even the most experienced pilots, and many air battles involved gunfights in which victory depended on outmaneuvering the enemy. The game's 3D graphics engine uses the latest DirectX technology, and it supports 32-bit color, advanced lighting effects, texture layers, and reflective mapping.
Strike Fighters: Project 1 is in development at Third Wire, a studio headed by the lead designer of European Air War and Jane's Longbow 2, and it is scheduled for release this summer. For more information, take a look at our
