Strategy First picks up Mistmare, Hannibal

The publisher secures the rights to Arxel Tribe's upcoming fantasy role-playing game and its game based on the horror film Hannibal.

Strategy First has announced an agreement with French game company Arxel Tribe that gives it the North American publishing rights to Mistmare, Arxel's upcoming fantasy role-playing game, and Hannibal, its upcoming game based on the Universal Studios horror film by the same name.

Mistmare will let players assume the role of an inquisitor monk on a journey through a medieval fantasy world torn by years of bloodshed. The game is scheduled for release near the end of 2002. Hannibal, which is being built on LithTech's Jupiter 3D engine, will feature the same combination of action and horror found in the film. Players will assume the role of special agent Clarice Starling as she tries to track down the infamous serial killer Hannibal Lecter. It is scheduled for release in March 2003.
