Stranger Things Star Confirms Fate of Season 1 Character

Actress Millie Bobby Brown weighs in regarding THAT character.

The La La Land-inspired opening for last night's Golden Globes featured the main cast of Stranger Things sharing a major revelation about a Season 1 character. But it's not all that it seems.

Spoilers about Stranger Things Season 1 are in the video and below.

Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown leads a rap with co-stars Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Finn Wolfhard that ends with the proclamation that "Barb is still alive."

Barb (Shannon Purser) is then seen rising from a pool, not unlike the one where she was taken from and killed by the Demogorgon in Stranger Things Season 1.

The Golden Globes opening sequence was just a joke, however; Barb is still dead.

"No, she's not alive!" Brown told Entertainment Weekly.

Stranger Things co-creator Matt Duffer said back in August 2016 that Barb was almost definitely dead. There will be "some justice" for the character, he went on to say without elaborating.

"People get very frustrated, understandably, that the town doesn't seem to be really dealing with Barb. That stuff is all happening. We're just not spending any screen time on it," he said.

Stranger Things Season 2 debuts in 2017. Among the new cast members for Season 2 are Lord of the Rings actor Sean Astin and Aliens' Paul Reiser.
