Sting Announces E2 Project

Sting, developer of Evolution and Treasure Hunter G, announces E2 project -- a sequel to the action role-playing game Baroque.

Comments

On Tuesday, Sting announced on its official web site the development of E2 Project. Regarding the details of the E2 Project, director Kazunari Yonemitsu commented that the game will be titled Baroque Pure, the sequel to its action RPG title Baroque. The cult-hit was first released on the Sega Saturn in 1998, and a Sony PlayStation version followed in 1999. Yonemitsu also commented that the game will make use of WebMoney (currency used online in Japan), which could possibly mean that the game is network-compatible.

Although it was not announced which system it was being developed on, based on the possible use of a network, the only console currently capable of doing that is the Dreamcast. Sting has been a third-party developer for the Dreamcast since its launch and has already released two titles -- Evolution and Evolution 2.

More details on E2 Project will be unveiled soon. GameSpot News will keep you posted.
