Eidos Interactive has announced that its latest strategy game, Startopia, has gone gold. The game gives players control of a network of space stations, and they must oversee the renovation and development of the stations in order to build the network into a successful community for a wide variety of alien visitors.

Startopia features nine primary character races, each with unique characteristics and animations. The space stations featured in the game are torus-shaped, which provides a unique doughnut-like environment in which to build facilities and terraform indoor landscapes. The game also includes trade, auctions, technology research, and strategic combat and espionage.
