Star Wars: The Old Republic Rise of the Rakghouls update goes live

Delayed content update now ready to download and play for BioWare's massively multiplayer online role-playing game.

BioWare announced yesterday that the Rise of the Rakghouls update for Stars Wars: The Old Republic had been delayed due to "issues requiring additional testing." That additional testing did not take long to complete, as the developer today announced the content update is now live.

Rise of the Rakghouls comes to life today.

Rise of the Rakghouls is The Old Republic's first content update. It includes new missions and bug fixes, as well as antialiasing and player-versus-player bracketing for the WarZones mode. Rise of the Rakghouls--also known as game update 1.1--will download automatically when players log in to the game.

Stop being negative kiddies. That includes you @DrTrafalgarLaw. Honestly the game works alot better now and they did another big patch after it to ensure it ran smoothly. The only thing i don't like is the idea of more rakghouls. Its commonly agreed we all hate them.:P

This is by far the most enjoyable MMO I've ever played, and it just gets better. Now that 50's are tiered in their own PVP bracket I dominate :)

Glad I waited on this. I really don't have time to play it full time anyways. Seems like the game was released with a lot of bugs.

I sense a lot of BioDrones giving thumbs down to even the most neutral comments. The worst fanboys that have ever existed. Get a life.

The heightened graphics are fantastic, and it's good to see some bugs addressed. That said, this title has quite a lot of work before it's on par with its price competitors. I only have a 50 on the imp side so far, but Ilum doesn't seem as drastically helpless as a lot of people claim. We're outnumbered but we give as good as we get during peak hours.

Little irritated because this patch caused me to reinstall SWTOR because of a patch ERROR

@Echo13791, please don't ask Bioware to fix things you "heard" about PvP on Ilum unless you've experienced these issues yourself. I'm really tired of ppl complaining about things in SWTOR when they either don't play the game or haven't seen them first hand. I've had very little problems with the game and I've been playing since early access. If there are faction balance issues, they'll work themselves out eventually since you can create characters on both factions when on a pvp server. Not worried.

I heard the PvP on Illum is now broken--Empire players can just farm valor because of the faction imbalance. Please fix this BW! I love this game!

Glad we are being given day to day updates on this. Any other games have patches coming out this week?
