Star Wars Battlefront Celebrates Episode 7's Release With Double XP Weekend

Today's the day. Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives in theaters today, December 18, and to celebrate the film's release, Electronic Arts is offering double XP in Star Wars Battlefront.

The "Double Score Weekend," as EA is calling it, started today at 1 AM PST and ends Monday, December 21 at 1 AM PST. "No matter how many times you're planning on watching the movie this weekend, there will be plenty of time to take advantage," the developer said in a blog post.

Just last week, Battlefront's Force Awakens-inspired DLC, Battle of Jakku, was released free for all players across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The expansion features a new map, Jakku, and a 40-player mode called Turning Point. The content is set 29 years before the events of The Force Awakens.
