Upcoming action game Star Trek has been announced only for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, but the game could also come to the Wii U. Paramount Pictures senior vice president and producer Brian Miller told Nintendo World Report recently that the company is considering bringing the game to Nintendo's new console.

"We are exploring right now all of our options to get on the platforms that make sense," he said. "It's early. Good thing we have a lot of time to figure that out, and over the next few months we'll be able to announce a few more things."

Star Trek is in development at Digital Extremes (The Darkness II, Homefront PC) and was expected to ship this year. In February, Paramount announced that Namco Bandai would publish the title, and it would not be released until the first quarter of 2013.

The Star Trek game has been billed as an action adventure and will feature Kirk and Spock in an original story penned by God of War writer Marianne Krawczyk. The game will be set after the events of the 2009 film, and it sees the Enterprise officers teaming up to stop the plans of a powerful enemy pursuing galactic domination.
