Russian publisher 1C Company announced today it will publish Stalingrad, a new real-time strategy title for the PC. Based on the Blitzkrieg engine, the game was developed by DTF Games, also based in the former Soviet Union.

Stalingrad will feature 36 missions over two campaigns--one Wehrmacht, one Red Army. With an emphasis on historical accuracy, the game will feature an interactive encyclopedia, levels based on aerial reconnaissance photography, and historic buildings recreated from archival photographs.

Stalingrad has no rating or American or European release date.
