A post on the game's Facebook page announced two new add-on content packs for the racing title set to debut in August. The first content pack (not yet priced) adds new vehicle skins for players to decorate their automobiles with. The second pack, the High Octane Supercar Pack (not yet priced), adds a new vehicle to a gamer's virtual garage. And the third content update will let players download the Ryback Cyclone car for free.

Disney says all three packs will come to Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network "in the coming weeks." Additionally, the publisher promised that an entirely new environment will be available in virtual storefronts sometime in September. Disney did not announce any of the content for the PC.

The only other Split/Second downloadable content currently available is a time-saver pack, which was released on the game's launch day in May. This paid content unlocks all cars, tracks, and modes, thus nullifying the need to play through the game's story mode.
