Splinter Cell goes gold

Ubi Soft has announced that its high-profile Xbox game Splinter Cell is ready to ship on schedule on November 18. Inspired by Tom Clancy's work and endorsed by the author, Splinter Cell follows the highly trained NSA operative Sam Fisher as he attempts to unravel a menacing conspiracy. The game was specifically designed for the Xbox and takes advantage of the console's hardware for a wide range of visual effects. The game will also be released for the PC early next year.
