Activision has launched a new Web site for Spider-Man: The Movie Game, its upcoming action game based on the upcoming film, Spider-Man. The new site contains a brief description of the game along with a gallery of screenshots, a video trailer, and information about previous Spider-Man games. The new video trailer runs for just over 50 seconds, and it shows off some of the characters, environments, and fighting moves that will appear in the game.

Spider-Man: The Movie Game is set in and around New York City. Players will assume the role of Spider-Man and embark on a quest to stop the evil plans of the Green Goblin and his minions. The game will include a new combat system and a variety of new enemies. It will also have a free-roaming control system that lets players rise and descend while swinging, bank around buildings, make zip lines between buildings, and cut weblines for sudden drops.

The PC version of Spider-Man: The Movie Game is being developed at Gray Matter, the studio that co-developed Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and it is scheduled for release in May. For more information, visit the new official Web site and watch the new video trailer linked below.
