Shrapnel Games has announced that Space HoRSE, its upcoming strategy game, has been delayed in order to give the developer time to add support for multiplayer games over TCP/IP networks. Previously scheduled for release this month, the game is now expected to ship at the end of June.

Space HoRSE, which was inspired by the classic game M.U.L.E. from the 1980s, lets players undertake a mission to create a self-sufficient colony on a remote planet. They must use their holistic robotic slave engineer, or "HoRSE," to harvest the resources of their new planet--food, power, titanium, and zirconium--and build a successful colony. The game includes 3D animated cutscenes, several different species, and multiplayer support for up to four players on the same computer.

Space HoRSE was developed by Gilligames, and it is available for preorder from the Shrapnel Games Web site for $29.95. For more information, read our previous coverage of the game.
